Next stop: Xerocon London

Xerocon London starts in just over a week and while it’ll be our first time exhibiting at Xerocon, we know there’s more in store for us than just introductions at the booth. We’ve attended Xerocon as delegates before, so we know there is something quite distinct about Xero events with a strong vibe of openness encouraging everyone to share and contribute to the community. We are looking forward to conversations with Accountants in the UK because we are interested in hearing how the role of traditional accounting is evolving with cloud services. We see Accountants are beginning to add another string to their bow as Business Advisors so we are keen to discuss what this means for eCommerce sellers, especially those on Amazon. We are looking forward to catching up with the Xero UK team too. We’ve met them via conference calls so it will be good to place faces to names and compare notes on UK specific challenges for the eCommerce industry. As well, we’re very curious about the other companies exhibiting. A hallmark of the Xero events is that desire for everyone to connect and share ideas, not just accountant & vendor matchmaking. As developers of our own App, we also enjoy a bit of tech talk and we know we’ll be amongst good company in the exhibit hall with new friends who will be keen to talk about scalable cloud computing. For me, it’s time to pack my bags - first stop London, then its back to New Zealand for a short while before continuing onto Xerocon in Austin later this year.
